Warehouse Operative / Van Driver

Job description

£24,000 – £26,000 a year pending experience

Warehouse operative / van driver required. We are an independent Plumbing & Heating Merchants who offer a wide range of Plumbing/Heating materials along with having an in-house Tile & Bathroom Showroom. Being a family run business we offer a friendly working environment and are now looking for a warehouse operative / driver to join the team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Checks incoming goods against supplier delivery note
Assign materials to the proper warehouse location
Making sure all booking in & returns are correct and up to date as per procedures.
Collate orders for customers in appropriate locations and label.
Records of all materials leaving the warehouse
Unload and load incoming and outgoing vehicles
Paperwork marked accordingly
Operating forklift truck
Load and unload Company vehicles – supervising the load of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chance of damage.
Delivering goods to customers when required
Assist trade counter staff when necessary.

Successful applicants will require

Clean full UK driving licence.
Ability to maintain a vehicle.
Held licence for 8 years
Forklift experience preferred.
Have experience with computers.
